The Iowa Music & Arts Association (IMAA), sponsor of the annual Tournament of Drums drum and bugle corps competition in Cedar Rapids, is working to launch an indoor drumline that will perform at various local events in the Cedar Rapids area.

Plans are well underway for the  drumline, with instructors who will volunteer their time, students interested in participating, a rehearsal and drum storage space, and a list of performance opportunities. And early in 2017, a  successful fund drive was held to buy a used set of drums (see pictures below).

Thank you so much to all who made a donation to make the drum purchase possible. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Although we will be able to buy the drums, we’ll need ongoing financial support to make the drum line a success. So we are continuing to take donations. Any amount is appreciated and your gift is tax deductible.

Be sure to share your email address or billing address with us when you donate, so that we can send you a receipt for your tax records.

Or mail a check to: IMAA, PO Box 2758 Cedar Rapids, IA 52406

The set of drums includes 9 snares, 5 tenors, and 5 bass drums that were used by 2012 Santa Clara Vanguard, along with stands, harnesses, cases and covers to change the look.
